Cover a voice-over
Landscapes, weather and city shots work well between talking segments because nothing needs to match a real person or place exactly.
This template makes a wide, slow drone shot of a misty valley for use as B-roll. Generate 4 seconds free at 480p, or use credits for 1080p and up to 12 seconds.
Early morning over a misty pine valley. A slow aerial shot glides forward above the treetops as golden sunlight breaks through low fog. Natural colours, soft contrast, anamorphic framing, no people, no text. One continuous drone shot.
It is already in the generator above. Settings: Text to Video, 21:9, 4 seconds, 480p, no sound, which is free.

Generate several shots with the same colour and light words so they sit together when cut in sequence.
A wide 21:9 shot gives an opening a film feel. Choose 16:9 if the video will play full screen on YouTube.
Terms such as aerial shot, slow dolly, tracking shot and static wide shot give the model a clear camera instruction.
Golden hour, overcast light, blue hour and low fog have a larger effect on the look than the word cinematic does.
Adding no people and no text helps keep the shot clean, which makes it easier to reuse.
Free videos are 480p, which is good for testing an idea. For a real edit, use 1080p with credits. A 10-second 1080p clip on Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast costs 80 credits.
Keep the same light, colour and lens words in each prompt. Results will still vary between generations, so plan for a few extra attempts.
Not by default. B-roll usually sits under narration or music. Turn on Sound to add generated ambience with Seedance 2.0 Mini, available up to 720p.
